Our commitment

Day-Impex recognises the importance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supporting the NHS net zero agenda. As a small UK SME, we will take a proportionate, evidence-based approach: improving the quality of our emissions data, reducing emissions where practical and avoiding unsupported interim promises.

Target coverage

• All Scope 1 emissions from our UK
  operations.
• All Scope 2 emissions from
  purchased energy for our UK operations.
• The relevant PPN 006 subset of Scope 3: business travel, employee commuting, waste, and upstream/downstream transportation and distribution.

How we will progress

• Review energy use, transport, waste and material emissions annually.
• Use the best available operational, supplier and waste data and improve data quality over time.
• Consider practical energy-efficiency, lower-carbon transport, waste reduction and supplier-engagement measures.
• Set further interim targets only when supported by a reliable baseline and realistic delivery plan.

Governance and review

Progress against this commitment will be reviewed at least annually by senior management. Day-Impex is developing a Carbon Reduction Plan aligned to the applicable UK Government PPN 006 reporting standard using verified and supportable emissions data. The public target and supporting plan will be updated as our data and operational pathway mature.
